This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Teaching my students about kindness is a goal of mine every year. This year, for my class's community service project, we wanted to spread kindness all around the school. My students came up with the great idea of getting little toys and handing them out to all of the students below us as we shared space. They wanted these children to know how special they truly are. Each toy will have a motivational saying on it about kindness. The goal is to try to make sure every child receives one kindness toy.
Spreading kindness around school brings our school community closer.
It is important as an educator to teach children to be kind to one another. My students are special because they want to go around and make others happy. A simple gesture towards kindness is the only reward they need.
