My Students

My 3rd-grade students reside on the south side of Chicago, of which 95% come from low-income households. My students came to me with a range of academic and emotional deficiencies. Many of them are struggling readers, writers, and mathematicians. Therefore, I must provide differentiated small group instruction to meet their individual learning needs.

The academic levels of my students range from pre-k to 4th grade, but my students are more than just a test score; they are future leaders!

My students need the right resources and opportunities to help them reach their full potential.

My Project

I would like to give my students cozy care packages filled with fuzzy gear to help keep them warm this winter. The items I am requesting with this project are as follows; cozy hats, gloves, socks and hot chocolate. In addition, you will see gift bags and greeting cards as well so that I can pack these gifts up with love.

Every child deserves to be warm and cozy coming to school each day.

Therefore, this project will give students the basic winter gear to help them come to school warm and ready to learn this winter.
