Spreading Compassion

Help me give my students items focused on sharing compassion and empathy to those around them.

My Project

In a world that can sometimes feel very dark, this project will help my students spread kindness and compassion. The specific items I'm requesting, the book called Be Kind, will make a difference in my students' learning by teaching them how people are made differently and see things from the point of view from a child who is bullied and not included by the other children. The goal is to inspire them to view the world with compassion and understanding. Creating embroidery backpack clips will spark student creativity and provide an opportunity for students to look for someone who is being left out or bullied by others. Then they will be able to pass the backpack clip on to that person. The kindness stickers will be used a similar way, giving students the opportunity to encourage those around them who might need a boost. We will be able to measure the sucess of this project by student accounts and testimonies.
