My Project
This student-driven project aims to uplift our school community by encouraging positivity, inclusivity, and emotional wellness. Students want to do a variety of activities to fulfill their goals which include writing thoughtful notes of encouragement, creating motivational posters, organizing peer shout-outs, and creating small gifts to spread joy and encouragement. These efforts are designed to make all students feel appreciated, supported, and connected.
The project’s impact will reach across all grade levels (6th-12th) by nurturing a culture rooted in kindness and unity.
Students will need pens, pencils, post-it notes, dry erase marker kits, wall organizers, and pony bead kits to bring their idea to life. Pens, pencils, post-it notes, and dry-erase marker kits are needed to create positive messages, shout-outs, and motivational posters. Paperclips and wall organizers will keep student creations organized for posting and distribution to classrooms, hallways, and breakout spaces. Staples will be needed to attach posters to the walls. Students will use the pony bead pet kits to create cheerful bead pets to give to classmates who may need an extra boost of joy or encouragement. With these tools, student leaders will take charge of every activity, express themselves creatively, and lead by example in building a more welcoming and compassionate school environment.
