Help me give my students access to the Washington Children´s Choice Picture Book 2025 nominees. These books will greatly enhance our library collection and help spread the joy of reading to students in Kinder through third grade.

My Project

Every year across our state, students get to vote on their favorite books for the Washington Children´s Choice Picture Book Awards. These are amazing books that include diverse characters, important themes, and high interest non-fiction. Some of the titles for the coming school year include: Agatha May and the Anglerfish, Friends Beyond Measure, Gertie: the Darling Duck of WWII, The Girl Who Heard the Music, How do You Spell Unfair?: MacNolia Cox and the National Spelling Bee, Not a Monster, Out of a Jar, Paula’s Patches, Ramen For Everyone, Red Jacket, Remember, Something, Someday, Spanish is the Language of My Family, Stranded!: a Mostly True Story from Iceland, This is Not My Story, and We Are Going to Be Pals!

All of these books will be read aloud to students in order to spark the love of reading and inspire rich discussions about diversity, acceptance, and inclusion.

Please help us meet our goal of adding all 20 Children´s Choice nominees to our school library collection in order to infuse our aging collection with current and relevant children´s literature.
