I want to incorporate fitness into my classroom content. I have three classes, so I will create three teams. Throughout the year, I will embed competition into lessons and our class teams will compete against each other for a grade winner! This will allow for fitness and sports teams to help motivate my classes.
When surveying my students, most tend to tactile learners.
So, I want to use that to help keep students motivated in the classroom learning content. We also have health standards. I will also use the basketball team equipment (balls and jerseys) and other sports equipment (frisbees) to teach those standards. Students will learn the importance of teamwork, communication and fun competition with these items. It is so important for students to have those soft skills in addition to those specific sport skills. The soft skills will stay with them throughout their lives.
