Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are highly motivated learners that love to acquire new information each day. Last year I was their fourth grade teacher and this year I had the pleasure to loop up to 5th grade with my class. I love seeing the progress that each one of my students makes each day.

My students are the first in their homes to learn to speak English.

My students parents encourage their children to get an education, but lack the literacy skills to help their children at home. Students in my classroom encourage each other to reach academic goals and model kindness throughout our school.

My Project

My students need physical fitness equipment to use during recess and physical fitness class periods.

My students will be more focused in class by using the equipment to develop their bodies to be more physically fit on the playground.

My students will be excited to play at recess with equipment that fits their interest in sports. My students love to play soccer and this would allow enough equipment for them to play together during P.E. time and at recess with their friends. My students also need basketballs and footballs to play with at recess. Our classroom also lacks storage for our P.E. equipment and a storage locker will keep all our equipment on an organized bin.

Being physically fit at a young age will encourage good physical fitness behaviors as teenagers and into adulthood.
