Sports Are the New Skills Needed for This Generation!
Help me give my students the ability to be able to play sports outside. Much of our equipment is old and not functionable. We would love to have our students to form teams and play as kids should!

My Project
My students are so unique this year. I teach fourth grade and many of these students for 1st grade were online covid learning. It made for such a habit in many grades but especially my kiddos. They are very technology dependent and struggle with learning how to make friends and form teams. I truly feel that this is learned and can be retrained with the help of equipment and obviously I would be leading this teamwork.
I'm sure many are wondering how this can help students in the classroom.
Well not only am I a 4th grade teacher, but I have coached gymnastics for 20 years. Many, if not all of my students, on my team excel in school. There is so much research to show that students involved in sports actually excel more in school. They use their whole brain, and it shows when they problem solve and use critical thinking skills.
I would love for my students to be able to all throw a football and jump rope. I want to see that everyone can throw a frisbee!!!!
My students need to know life skills and know how to be a kid without technology. They need to get dirty, have fun, work together, critical think and understand teamwork.
