This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in several years of students not being able to develop the basic skills necessary to participate cooperatively with one another in organized sports activities. This negatively impacted both their academic and social-emotional functioning and was an extremely hard time for students with special needs. Having the sporting equipment necessary to provide basic skills training in basketball and football will increase their cooperation with one another and strengthen their social-emotional functioning through team building activities that have not been available to them due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
