This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am the luckiest teacher in the world! My scholars are amazing, creative, and eager to learn. They come into 3rd grade with a drive and a passion to learn that is contagious and inspiring. I am an advocate for their learning and hope to inspire a life-long sense of curiosity and growth.

My scholars bring a wealth of experiences into the classroom- which includes struggles and obstacles, but also stories of bravery, determination, and perseverance!

I am lucky to be the one to highlight these amazing qualities and inspire them to find their path to success.

I look forward to teaching many more generations and continue to inspire, challenge, and dream together!

My Project

As we emerge from a very challenging year at schools, one of the things I want to focus on is rebuilding the school community. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we could not have school events, and many families want to reconnect with our teachers.

One way to rebuild the community is to host a Spooky STEM Community Night where families can come to school and participate in engaging STEM-based experiments- such as making glow-in-the-dark slime, creating dry-ice ghosts, building bridges that can hold Q-tip skeletons, and more!

This family night will be engaging, interesting and will help us reconnect to our community through the love of spooky STEM stations!
