Help me give my students a sensory table for our Pre-K classroom! With this project, they will have the opportunity to explore all of their sensory needs.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Collyer's classroom raised $465

My Project
As a Special Education Teacher in an ICT setting, I have seen how important it is for all students to be able to explore their sensory needs, especially at the Pre-K age. With this table, I hope to give my students the experience of utilizing different sensory objects during center time. For example, they will be able to use sand, water, and other sensory items (such as cotton, beads, shredded paper, etc.) to practice their fine motor skills. We will use this table throughout the school year to rotate different objects based on our unit that are put on the table. This will keep all students engaged and excited to visit our sensory center.
Students will be able to use this table to practice many different skills, such as fine motor skills, language skills, cognitive skills, problem-solving skills, etc.
Many of my students have IEPs and require different experiences and activities to reach their goals. My students are all special in their own way and they deserve the opportunity to have the best experience possible in Pre-K! I can't wait to see my students splishin' and splashin' in sensory!
