SPLASH; Jumping in Feet First

Help me give my students access to our local waters! Students in my classes look in depth at Natural Resources and these waders will allow them to jump in feet first in our Water Quality units.

My Students

Students at our High School have a drive and passion for our Natural Resources. I am the Agriculture Teacher there and am excited to be able to bring students and the classroom into the outdoors. Students strive on hands on learning and being able to put into action what they are learning.

My Project

Waders and water quality tests will help our students to really get hands on with our Natural Resources courses at Mora High School. We offer many courses that these will be used for from Fishing and Aquatics to MN Natural Resources.

The waders will be used for students to be able to get into our water to complete water quality tests that are more than a simple water sample.

More students will be able to go into the water and feel what it is really like for careers in the future. From a biologist to DNR Fisheries specialist they will be more prepared for the career of their dreams.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
