Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love that my Leadership students at Ánimo Ralph Bunche step up to lead with heart, creativity, and courage. As a Title I school, resources are limited, but these students continue to bring energy, school spirit, and unity to our campus. What makes them special is their deep desire to make every student feel seen and included. They care about their peers and want school to feel like a safe, welcoming place for everyone.
This project will create a warm, encouraging welcome for all student.
With poster boards, acrylic paint, and vibrant markers, my students will design beautiful welcome-back signs for each grade level to kick off the school year with positivity and encouragement. These supplies will help them communicate uplifting messages and build a stronger sense of community. Through this project, they’ll learn how to lead through service, collaborate creatively, and use their voices to make school a place where everyone feels they belong.
