it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The majority of my students live below the poverty level. My students face immense challenges outside of school that they can't control. Every child has capabilities, talents, and strengths! I have a large range of learning abilities in my classroom. They come from diverse backgrounds with a variety of needs. My students are second through fourth graders and have autism, ADD, or ADHD, but all of the children in my classroom have the same desire to learn.
The students in my class strive for excellence and always try their best.
In my classroom, we are scholars striving for greatness. I know my students will be successful because I truly believe in all of them.
My Project
With the comb binding machine, our students will be able to make memory books, spelling dictionaries, rhyming books, science notebooks, etc. The purpose of these books is to make learning meaningful. To get students excited about writing, so they can "publish" their final draft. Making their own connection with the world is crucial to the learning of my visual learner students. It is so important to differentiate instruction and meet my students' needs. The most important part of an educator for me is to pique my students' interests. If I can create books that fit their needs and also address their standard I am able to differentiate instruction.
