Especially my older students, mentioning how being able to sit on a rug again reminds them of when they were little. My students love having the option to choose where can they read. Often used to just sitting at their desk reading a book. But now with having a carpet and book nook steps they can comfortably sit or lay down to read. Encouraging them to read for pleasure and in their own time to relax and destress. Before all the students wanted to fit on the book nook steps since no one wanted to sit at a table it will get. Unfortunately it would get too loud and not enough space for kids to be comfortable. But now with more sitting options kids go where they feel comfortable and I have seen a great improvement on sound level as well as kids engaging with their books.\r\n\r\nFor my little ones they love pointing out all the images on the rug. As well as being able to sit in a comfortable spot during story time and have an area to dance and sing. My next goal is to get a sensory table. To hopefully help bring more stories alive especially for my students who are sensory seekers. I would love to make an inclusive library where all children can enjoy and engage.","fullyFundedDate":1770647436211,"projectUrl":"project/relaxed-and-reading/10068459/","projectTitle":"Relaxed and Reading","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Kat","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10421764_orig.jpg?crop=994,994,x0,y62&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1769622588413","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10421764"},{"teacherId":9989041,"projectId":9374418,"letterContent":"On behalf of our students and community at Dena Elementary School, we want to thank you for your generous donation.
