Spill The Bean (Bag Chairs)!

My students need Bean Bag Chairs because my classroom does not contain any chairs. It will help make students more comfortable for class discussions which require an inward reflection.

My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

My students are creative, clever and love to move.

Leaping! Jumping! Turning! They love to create and love lots of positive attention. They especially enjoy learning dances of different cultures and genres. Performance preparation is their favorite time of the year.

My Project

The bean bag chairs are necessary because my classroom does not contain any chairs. If a student is injured and unable to participate in class, they can rest easy in a bean bag. If the class is taking notes, having a discussion or watching a film, the students can be more comfortable in a bean bag chair rather than sit on the cold, hard floor.

I would love to have bean bag chairs for my den students so they can feel more comfortable in opening up and being honest.

Each week I meet with a group of students who are not dancers. These students participate in character lessons and discussions about how to be better people and help those around us. Being able to circle up with them would make a huge difference!
