it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are attending a brand new K-9 charter school this year. My students live in a struggling socioeconomic climate in which their families work multiple jobs to provide. My students are enrolling in our school with hopes of academic improvement and increased opportunities to expand their experience of the world. My students are also excited to attend school after almost a year in lockdown. Physical activity has diminished for nearly every student who has been stuck in these challenging circumstances. However, PE class has the solution - a new and exciting game that can be enjoyed by everyone!
I teach at a Title I School in East Las Vegas in which a high percentage of my students come from bilingual homes and all students receive free lunch.
My students have already faced challenges more difficult than most adults have to endure. My students are resilient and hard-working. My students believe that they have something to offer the world and our school's mission is to take that tenacious energy to change the way our community feels about itself. Our students are ready and we can't wait to show you what they will do.
My Project
As a leader in my PE department, I am always on the lookout for new and exciting games for our students to play. My students are familiar with many of the classic physical education games but have never been exposed to Spikeball, a one-of-a-kind game that is fun, challenging, and promotes positive fitness.
My students would learn numerous new skills by playing this new and exciting game which will test their coordination, speed, agility, and teamwork skills.
This game is the perfect PE game for middle school students. I am most excited about the prospect of introducing my students to a new game that many of them have never heard of. Your donation will open up the door of opportunity to these students and provide them with something completely unique and fresh,.
