My Project

I've noticed that when it comes to reading time in my English classes, many of my students have trouble finding books that really catch their interest. I've decided to remedy that by re-organizing my books so that students can have an easier time in making selections. I've already managed to acquire a new, larger bookcase, and now I'm ready to bulk up on books in genres that my shelves are lacking, such as mysteries, thrillers, romance, and realistic fiction.

My goal is to have something for each of my students, especially those who are self-proclaimed anti-readers.

So many young folks are unaccustomed to choosing their own books, so when they are given the chance to do so they don't know where to begin. I believe that by having a variety of books in different high-interest genres, they're bound to find something they like!
