My students need furniture--chairs and a table--for our class library center to help motivate reading in the classroom.

My Students

First graders love books! Our class is asking for furniture to enhance our class library and promote reading in the classroom.

We are a first grade class of 23 students who are eager to learn!

Our school consists of prek-5th grade students. Our class loves spending extra class time reading. They are always asking to spend time in our classroom library if they finish work early, during inside recess, or partner reading.

My Project

Students will have the opportunity to enjoy reading within the classroom in our class library while sitting in these chairs at this table! Throughout they day, they will be given opportunities to partner read during our literacy block, read with an adult, or just read for enjoyment in our library center.

Kids are in school 7 hours a day.

I believe that making a homey, comfortable environment for school age children helps to make them feel welcome in the classroom as well as enjoy the school day. Making learning fun also encourages students to be life long learners.
