My Project

For this project I am requesting four sphero minis to teach students about coding. Our world is controlled by technology! Everywhere you go students are exposed to a variety of technology that they are expected to understand how to use on a daily basis.

By teaching basic coding skills students will not only learn how to use technology but they will also learn valuable problem solving, critical thinking, and creativity skills

My students walk into our technology lab every day full of excitement and ready to learn something new. My students come from many different cultures, have different learning styles, and ultimately have different interests from their peers. Using technology I can engage and motivate each and every learner in my classroom.

My goal is for my students to have as many experiences with technology as possible so that they will have the skills they need to be successful.

As Bill Gates said, “Learning to write programs stretches your mind, and helps you think better, creates a way of thinking about things that I think is helpful in all domains.” The Sphero minis are a perfect way for students to expand their thinking and to take coding to the next level.
