My Project

Our students live in a community where technology is limited, but students are quick to embrace it when it is presented to them. Their minds take them on journeys beyond what they see and dream of each day.

Presenting our students with the opportunity to master coding using sphero robots that they can program and control using their skills and abilities exposes them to the deeper side of technology while showing them that technology isn't just cellular devices and computers, but it is critical thinking, problem-solving, and engineering at its finest.

Students will learn how to code a sphero ball using a given coding program where they must figure out what codes and actions they need to make their sphero ball undefeated in races, maneuver through mazes, complete obstacle course, and follow given commands. This doesn't just provide fun for our students, but it empowers them, build self-esteem, increases problem solving and critical thinking, and it takes them deeper into the world of engineering.
