My Project
My third graders love to practice spelling patterns using alphabet beads, but we only have one set. I would like to create spelling centers with alphabet stamps, beads, and letters so students can practice word skills using hands on materials. The students get so excited when they can interact with each other using the beads instead of simply writing words to practice spelling.
Using these materials my students will engage in learning word patterns and spelling skills while enjoying the activity.
Each week the class is given a list of words that follow a pattern to learn how to spell and use in context. The students will make words using the beads, stamps, and letters to create sentences too.
