My Project

"This is so fun!" is a phrase that can be heard in my computer lab frequently. It's true, learning computer skills is fun. But, in a new reality, it is also a growing job opportunity. Statistics show that 71% of all new STEM jobs are in computing.

The best time to learn a lifelong skill is during the early stages of life.

It has been shown that in order to be a faster and more accurate typer, one must become aware of where their fingers are in relation to the keyboard. To do this, we need to cover up our keyboards with SpeedSkins to help complete our typing goals. Typing not only provides a skill for STEM jobs, but it also provides problem-solving skills, determination, stamina, and a way of coping with stress. With the help of these skins, I can teach my students beginning and advanced typing skills to help them enter our tech-savvy world, while also fostering a love for learning.
