My students need a class set of Speed Stackers to increase right brain-left brain interaction, focus, and dexterity in the classroom.
Our class is a diamond in the rough. We have so many brilliant and inquisitive minds in our class. One thing we are learning to work on is focus and engagement. We are hoping to begin new activities for brain balance! Please support our classroom in getting a Speed Stack Sport Pack!
I have so many amazing students in my class. They are thoughtful, humorous, curious and eager to learn. They all live around the city of Roseville and attend JAA charter school! As we are a charter, I have more flexibility in the way I approach curriculum and teaching as a whole. One thing I have noticed with my students (especially my current class) is that many of them struggle with focus and engagement (especially my boys). As I have researched a lot of right brain-left brain research such as brain balance and brain gym, I have noticed that students are able to focus and engage in class activities at a much higher level. In order to meet my students' needs I would love to acquire a class set of Speed Stackers.
The speed stacker sports pack includes 15 sets of speed stackers, timers, practice DVDs, and timing mats. This is enough for students to each participate in speed stackers in partnerships of two. I have been doing a lot of brain balance and brain gym activities with my students and have noticed a lot of improvement with their focus and engagement in activities after. Last week we had a guest speaker in our class and she taught the students about speed stackers and on the days my students participated in speed stackers, they were much more focused. With increased focus and engagement in lessons, my students will be more successful in their academic pursuits.
This project is very important because I have so many students who struggle with focusing and engaging in class.
Brain centered activities greatly aid these students and help them focus and engage during math and science activities, group and class discussions, reading, and comprehension. I find that brain centered activities especially helps the boys in my class that need that help when it comes to focusing and staying on task!
