Speech Therapy Toys and Materials

Help me give my students a fun, positive, engaging experience in speech therapy, with materials that support, visual, auditory and tactile learning. These materials are versatile and engaging to support individualized instruction in a fun environment.

My Project

The toys will be used to support engagement in structured therapy tasks, in the speech therapy room. Some materials will be used in the classroom to support alternative modes of communication with peers and adults. Speech therapy materials will be used to provide multisensory instruction for correct speech production and expressive language skills. It is very helpful when a student can hear their own speech production projected back to them, to improve awareness of speech production errors. Microphones can make working on speech fun. A mouth model is helpful for a visual representation of correct tongue placement for specific sounds. All the materials selected will support students in learning in a fun and positive setting.
