Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing! My K-5th graders come to school with smiles on their faces, regardless of the sometimes terrible situations they are coming from.
Almost the entire school is low-income, and all of our students are given free breakfast and lunch.
They often do not have any supplies, and the teachers are so generous in giving them what they need. My students will be so excited to have some new supplies to use in our speech therapy room. A little bit of help will go a long way!
My Project
This project would give me the tools and materials needed to help provide push-in classroom lessons for my students with disabilities! I go into their classrooms twice a week to provide a language-rich lesson that stimulates them to think and learn! My students are amazing and deserve to have great books, laminated picture cards, and other hands-on materials to interact with the curriculum.
Having a laminator at school, in addition to books, toys, and other speech therapy materials, would be incredible.
Please consider helping my students to learn in the best environment with some really engaging, colorful, and interactive materials.
