Speech Therapy Interactive Activities Help Make Reaching Language Goals Fun!

My Project

My students are the most amazing and hardworking children! All of the children I service have IEPs and special needs that include Communication Impairment. My students have different needs, including preschool disabled, to multiply disabled, non-verbal language, and a variety of expressive and receptive language disorders. Having interactive manipulative games is a great way for the students to use visual and tactile skills to work toward their goals, instead of just verbal lessons or written worksheets. PECS schedules and charts are essential for non verbal students to learn how to communicate their wants and needs and gives them the "voice" they so desperately need. I have a large English Language Learning population in which reading and writing are challenging. Therefore, games and interactive stories with pictures and visuals will be extremely helpful in improving their speech and language.

Every child deserves a chance to succeed in school and having the correct materials to use for speech is imperative to their learning, their social communication, and their ability to learn skills that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.

I truly appreciate your support for my students and helping them get the materials they need to succeed. It means so much to me to know that there are donors that care so much about my special needs students.
