Help me give my students my students new materials to make a diverse group of pre-K through fifth grade students successful in speech therapy this year.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a speech-language pathologist at our elementary school in Washington, DC. I work with children from pre-K through 5th grade. Many of my students are dual language learners who primarily speak Spanish at home.
I plan to use the bilingual books to help them show me what they already know and to determine any gaps in knowledge.
Many of my students have trouble focusing and the fidgets will help them concentrate. The social skills games and the sequencing cards will help many students meet their speech goals this year!
