This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are awesome, and they deserve the best of everything. They are in second through fourth grade, and are old enough to recognize and ask for the things that they need. I want to be able to provide them with healthy snacks when they are hungry, and lip balm when their lips are dry. Every winter, countless students come through my office with painfully swollen and peeling lips. This is an easily solvable and preventable problem, and one that I feel ethically bound to address for them.
All these items will start us off on the right foot this academic year, and will likely last all year, if not longer.
