Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The materials in this project will be used to have strong finish to our current year and set the program up for success in the fall. My school is opening a new autistic support classroom, and we are in dire need of materials to support these students. Games, book, and other activities are important for social-emotional learning, and we will use the other supplies in order to make manipulatives and communication boards for our students. Games are an opportunity for pragmatic skills such as turn-taking, and the Pete the Cat books are an engaging material to develop joint attention and other prerequisite skills for communication. Anything will be make a difference for the special education program in Philadelphia. Thank you!
