Speech is Sweet ... Let's Make It Sweeter!

My Project

In my 15th year of practicing as a Speech & Language Pathologist, I try my hardest to make each and every one of my sessions sweet!

I follow the students lead at the beginning of each session, providing them access to a range of joyful activities, but we have now been rotating the same activities for a whole heap of time and I want to be able to offer my amazing students something new and engaging and that's why I am reaching out for help.

My sessions are motivating, engaging and most importantly fun; my students deserve an enjoyable time, especially when they are working their way through a very academic education system.

My goal is to continue to foster their love of developing and improving their communication skills, so they can express their wonderful thoughts and ideas with the world, as well as foster healthy and strong interpersonal relationships with friends and their families.

Each of the students I work with have a diagnosis of a disability, the majority of those with an ASD diagnosis; it is my role, duty and an honor to play a part in assisting them reach their full potential in life, as the wonderful humans that they are.

While as society, we have come a long way in supporting and being mindful of those with disabilities, we still have some way to go, and I want to do my part by giving my students the very best that I can give and that means that every single speech and language session if full of fun and smiles!
