Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are curious, energetic early learners who are working hard to find their voices and communicate their wants, needs, and ideas. Many of them receive speech and language services to support expressive and receptive language, articulation, social communication, and attention skills. The puzzles and pet vet playset in this project will provide engaging, hands-on materials that make speech therapy meaningful and fun. These items will be used during individual and small group sessions to encourage verbal expression, expand vocabulary, support following directions, and build confidence when communicating with peers and adults. With developmentally appropriate tools, my students are more motivated to participate, practice new skills, and generalize their communication abilities across the classroom and daily routines.
