it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am an SLP that started with no technology and old school activities (I'm 50 years old). I am starting a new position at a charter school without a supply budget or enclosed classroom. I want to introduce activities that brought so much joy to my childhood and my own children-activities without technology. I need activities to keep their attention, due to not having a classroom (bc of lack of space).
This technology born generation lacks so many basic social skills that are important not just for speech-language therapy, but also being successful in whatever job they choose, being a good friend, spouse and parent.
My list includes activities that creates bonds, eye contact, turn-taking, problem-solving, delayed gratification, how to have real conversations, etc.
