This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The requested items will undoubtedly enhance my students' speech and debate activities in various ways. Legal pad portfolios will provide organization for their notes and materials, ensuring easy access during competitions. Legal pads, pens, and highlighters are essential tools for jotting down ideas and outlining arguments. Timers will help students practice time management during speeches and debates. Sticky notes, index cards, and mini binders will assist in creating quick reference points and organizing information. Snacks and water are vital for keeping students energized and focused during long practice sessions and competitions.
My goals for this project are to provide my students with the necessary resources to excel in speech and debate activities, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and effective communication skills.
These items will not only improve their performance but also instill a sense of preparedness and professionalism in their approach to competitions. Through access to these tools, students will be able to refine their argumentation techniques, practice effective time management, and develop a strong presence in public speaking.
What makes my students special is their passion for debate, their dedication to improving their skills, and their ability to collaborate and support each other. They are driven, inquisitive individuals who demonstrate perseverance and resilience in the face of challenges. With the inclusion of these requested items, my students will have the opportunity to enhance their learning experience, further develop their talents, and continue to shine in the realm of speech and debate. Together, they form a cohesive and supportive team that is poised for success in both academic and real-world settings.
