My Project

Help me meet the needs of my students with autism by providing structured teaching and play based learning opportunities!

As a special education teacher, I teach students with a wide variety of needs.

While I have the materials needed for general resource students, there is a lot that I need in order to create the programming necessary for higher needs students. Some students require a structured teach method in which there are specific learning tasks, a predictable sequence of events, visuals, etc. It requires a lot of preparation and supplies that I don't currently have. I am needing small tubs, laminating sheets, and velcro to create a work box system for students. Play based learning is also incredibly beneficial, so I'm needing some play based learning materials and sensory items such as fluorescent light filters.

With these materials, I would be able to create programming and an environment that will meet their needs and help set them up for success before the school year begins in August!
