My Students

I teach a fully self-contained special education classroom with students who have severe cognitive disabilities including autism, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome and require constant one-on-one instruction and support.

My students often struggle to engage with traditional worksheets and lesson plans so I love discovering new learning formats, hands-on manipulative learning tools, and special activities that better help my students understand and connect with their lessons.

I would greatly appreciate your support in helping me to purchase these resources for my students.

My Project

Each of these materials is specifically targeted towards my students' individualized education goals in either reading, writing, or math. From audio-enabled letter boards, to counting grids, to picture flip cards, and even an Osmo program to transform screen time into learning time, I am so excited about the potential impact that each of these products would have on my students' learning. These manipulative tools would enable my students to interact with their curriculum in a far more intuitive and successful manner than ever before.

Students born with disabilities still deserve equitable access to education no matter the teaching tools required, and your donations would make a reality.
