This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students may need additional support for a variety of reasons and providing them with options for flexible seating can be used as an incentive during instruction and can help students to focus.
Sitting in standard hard chairs most of the day isn't always comfortable and in my classroom giving choice and the ability to move around has proven to be successful in helping my students make progress.
Flexible seating can be used for core instruction in ELA or math, during guided reading or independent reading, as well as during small group or 1:1 instruction.
