This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Welcome to my classroom! I teach eleven sweet, loving and energetic students in a special needs classroom. My students have disabilities that range from emotional/behavioral disabilities, down syndrome, learning disabilities and autism, which means a wide range of learning styles. They face challenges from the very moment they wake up in the morning. Despite the challenges they face daily, these students are unique and wonderful in their own ways. They always come to school eager to LEARN!

Dry-erase markers are super helpful for kids who struggle with learning disabilities and we know that we are going to make mistakes, so the dry-erase markers are an easy way to erase and start again!

We are lucky to have dry-erase boards but it is impossible to get enough markers to last through the year because they dry out so fast. I want them to have supplies that make it easy for them to write and create work in my class.

My students inspire me every day. They meet each day as a gift despite their challenges. I absolutely love my job! This is my second year of teaching and I am still in need of classroom supplies to help my students. Help me make learning fun and exciting!
