Help me give my students hands on learning tools to target producing their speech sounds for increased speech intelligibility and increase seating options to optimize their learning time while in speech therapy.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with a large range of students from Pre-K through 6th grade that have a variety of needs and services. The alphabet objects will facilitate my students in learning to produce age appropriate phonemes by holding items, reinforcement and increased awareness of sounds. These alphabet sounds will also be used in associations, vocabulary building and sentences building activities.
The flexible seats will aid in decreasing squirmies while completing speech-language activities.
The flexible seating will assist with the students improving attention and focus while working on speech-language goals. Putting attention towards the activities and not slipping and sliding out of their regular chairs.
I love working with my students and working on their speech-language goals. I hope I give them as much joy as they give me.
