My Students

I teach full-day pre-k. We have a great opportunity to teach students from many diverse backgrounds such as English Language Learners (ELLs), at-risk students and first-time learners. All of these scholars need rich language opportunities and exposure to the world around them. These experiences help develop a necessary foundation for future learning.

My students are curious, creative and enthusiastic young learners who love diving into meaningful play experiences.

We provide an environment that allows them to thrive and grow in their own unique way. Our goal is to develop a love of learning that will continue to grow.

My Project

Sensory play supports language development, cognitive growth, motor skills, and social interaction. It is great for calming an anxious or frustrated child. This form of exploration also helps children learn vitally important sensory attributes such as hot, cold, sticky, dry, and more.

Sensory play engages all five senses to help children fully connect to their learning.

Sensory play builds nerve connections within the developing brain’s neural pathways. These spectacular sensory supplies in our pre-k classroom will help our scholars strengthen their motor and language skills. For children this age, playing is their way of learning!
