Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have 8 amazing students with severe intellectual disabilities. Each of my students is a unique and beautiful person who faces many challenges in learning and in life. I am honored to be their teacher. It is my first year teaching after being home for 22 years with my three children, one of whom is now a special needs adult. Help me build up my classroom with fun and enriching activities, such as the Lakeshore Magic Board, Building Language Lotto, and Whats Inside? Soft Freely Box, for these very special students. Although they are 3rd-5th graders, they are at a prewriting level. Most of my students are nonverbal and learn best through manipulatives and visuals. Help me make their language learning fun and meaningful with these learning games and writing tools. I know they will love learning with them!
