Hi! I am a fabulous First grade teacher in a low income school in Los Angeles. This year my spectacular students have developed a love of reading! However, they have also developed "back problems" due to the limited number of comfy places to read during our Reader's Workshop.
As it is right now we rotate turns sitting in the one bean bag chair we have. Students get to sit in the coveted chair about once a month if they are lucky! We are in desperate need of other places in our room where they can snuggle up with a good book. I've already done the hard part (teaching them how to read and to love it too!) now I just need some great donors to provide the beanbags!!
