My Students

My diverse student learners come from a small, caring community.

Our school is a Title One school.

Many of our friends have a lower socioeconomic status.

My students would benefit from any donation as many come to school without any school tools. Some students attend school without a book bag, snack or pencil at times.

My seven to eight year olds are kind and respectful to the adults in charge and really enjoy earning compliment points. Once their jar reaches one hundred percent, the whole class votes for a reward.

My Project

These special seating options will definitely become the "most wanted" items during collaborative learning activities. These soft, comfortable, sturdy seats and chairs will assist my second grade friends. They will quickly settle into their learning areas spread throughout our narrow classroom.

Once on a super comfy seat, the real learning will begin because my students will not remember they are on the cold tile floor or jammed into a desk.

They will be close to their learning partners and materials, researching just like the real world.

These special seats will be an asset to my students as they continue to tackle and solve problems. Everyday in our classroom community, we are challenged with issues that mimic the real world.
