Special Project for Some Special Needs

My students need Jurassic Sand because we do a lot of sensory integration. The Small Steps DVD would be useful for social skills training.

My Students

Our children have a lot of sensory needs along with requiring specific social skills training.

Our kids have severe autism and severe behavioral needs.

They attend a public separate day school in Maryland. These kids are so great and every small accomplishment made puts a smile on everyone's face! The children require a lot of time and energy and our staff is happy to be here for the kids whenever needed.

My Project

The Jurassic Sand will be used for sensory integration in an exploration box that allows the students to manipulate the sand without it touching their actual hands. It helps to de-sensitize them to new things. The Small Steps DVD will be used for social stories and social skills training.

These items are so important for our kids because they require many things throughout the day.

This is one aspect of their day that we can help them easily and make a big impact on their day.
