Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

With a lot of personalities comes lots of fun! Our kids are from a low income neighborhood and part of low incident self-contained classroom program under Special Education.

Most of our kids need hands-on experiences, rigid routine and practices in order to reach their goals both academics and skills that will help them through their lives.

My Project

Since the in-person learning, our students are struggling to get back to developing their gross and fine motor skills.

With our students being part of a low incident program, they are not exposed to opportunities that allow them to enhance their Gross and Fine Motor Skills or starting all over again to learn/develop them.

They started to practice basketball by dribbling and shooting but unfortunately we are lacking the right equipment to train them properly especially our kids who compared to the norm have delayed physical development meaning they require adequate modifications different sizes of tools to use.

We want to teach them various sports and see how they could excel with exposure in developing healthy hobbies and passion. These materials will be a lifetime change for our kids that will greatly impact their future.
