My students are all special needs students. They are a bundle of energy and love to feel and handle their work. My students are all hands on, meaning they touch all their material.
My students are all classified as students with Autism or Intellectually Disabled.
They need to feel and touch their materials, sometimes with wet hands, or wet mouths. Having a laminating machine would allow for me to let them do as they need to and still have my work materials.
My Project
Having a laminating machine would allow for me to laminate all my material and still be able to instruct my students. They will be able to touch, smell, feel and hold on to the papers but not "man handle" the content material. With a laminating machine I will be able to hand out papers, forms and materials that would allow for my students to write on it and be able to wipe it clean.
If I had a laminating machine, it would greatly help out by saving my money and time on resources and materials.
I would not have to copy papers over and over. I would be able to reuse the same paper material without having to recopy the same thing over and over. Having a laminating machine would allow me to laminate at my pace, at my need. This would be a valuable resource in my classroom.
