Special Needs Students need a Laptop Air

My students need Macbook Air to use within the classroom.

FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Santiago's classroom raised $1,397

This project is fully funded

My Students

My students are all special needs students. They are all below their grade level in all areas of academics, My students all need additional supports to learn. They learn best when they are not always required to use pencil and paper.

My students who are classified as Ossietzky or Intellectually Delayed are all three to four grade levels behind their age level.

I like to give them anything they need to build their skills. They work hard and they try their best, however they are in need of constant review. My school tries to keep up with buying supplies but the district runs out of money. I want to be able to give them what they can to bring them up to code.

My Project

My students love to computer program. I want to teach them computer programming. They want to be able to be apart of the general education population and computer programming will give them an in. My students have attempted to learn coding and programming but on a slower level than the general population. With a laptop in the classroom full time, my students will be able to take turns using it for a variety of projects. One such project is computer programming.

If my students are awarded a laptop they will be able to get further in areas of academics, they will be able to succeed, move forward and advance in areas they have not before.

My students will be able to learn typing skills, computer programming skills, they will be able to research topics, make and design web pages and become proficient in technology skills needed for the 22nd century.
