Special Needs Learners Benefit From Teacher Created Materials
Help me give my students the resources they need to be successful during remote and in person learning. This printer will allow me to print teacher created materials that can meet the needs of my diverse learners.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Hello everyone! As you all can imagine this year brings more challenges than ever for teachers, students and parents. I am thankful to be back in the classroom with the smiles of my little explorers. My students are imaginative, energetic and love learning. In my classroom, I try to give them everything. That could mean a hug if they're sad, food if they're hungry or just a safe place where they can feel proud of themselves.
My students face a lot of struggles on a daily basis and I try to make my classroom a place where they can forget all about that.
This year I will be educating two grade levels of students with special needs. I am asking for ANY help you can give to help me supply my classroom with materials to make it a magical and loving environment where I can support their needs. Thank you for your time and help!
My Project
Many of my students need additional materials that are not provided through curriculum. In order to benefit my students the most I often need to create my own supports to help them achieve their goals. In addition I do a great deal of social emotional learning and need to create materials for certain situations my students face. They don't always have support at home and these materials help them cope with their feelings while at home or in school.
In addition I have students with disabilities and often need to create charts, lists and other material to help them access the curriculum and support their learning needs.
This printer will allow me to provide my students any support they may need. During the pandemic when they are learning at home and in school this would enable me to get more resources out to my students that they can use in any situation this year.
