Special Need Students Need A Little Doodle in Their Lives
My students need a 3Doodler set in their lives for an after school club.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Viglietta's classroom raised $454

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a sixth through eighth grade Technology Special Education teacher in a high-needs NYC public school. I teach varying educationally delayed and disabled students. It’s time to move with the times and bring new technology to the classroom to keep students involved.
Many of my students come from low income homes and some even reside in local shelters.
My school is classified as a Title I school and all of our student population receive free lunch. Since they come from low income homes, technology is not readily available and school is the only place they can explore with technology. We are on the verge of our school becoming a full STEM based institution and with these donations, we will be one step closer.
My Project
Our school has an after school program focused on our Special Needs Students. They already work with some coding programs and also a 3D printer that was donated by the great people at DonorsChoose.org. Some of my Special Needs students are very artistic and would like to bring some of their art work to life in a 3D way not just with the printer. My students are stating that the printer is great but nothing is like making it on their own. These pens would let my students to make this come true. It is one thing to make something on the computer but to make it with their hands they would love. My special needs students have a hard enough time doing their core subjects and they use my after school club as a release from all of that. They are stress free working on the computers but some of them love working with their hands and these 3Doodlers would make this happen. My students are excited to start drawing with these pens in a 3D way. To bring their own drawings to life and make them rise up above paper would bring a huge smile to my students' faces.
