My Students

Our school is filled with incredible students who love to come to school every day! They are such happy individuals with so much empathy and curiosity! The staff at our school learns as much from the students as the students do from us about life and the world.

My students bring many different cultures from around the world into our classroom every day, creating a rich and deep learning learning environment.

It is an amazing environment to teach about diversity because it is so evident. I am truly indebted to my students for all they teach me about life and their culture.

My Project

Our Fourth Grade Mathematicians are embarking on a huge step in their mathematical life this year. They will learn to multiply and divide large numbers with efficient strategies, find equivalent fractions, compare fractions, and add and subtract fractions, measure angles, and much much more. Just as important, though, will be the growth in their math practices.

We are requesting math journals that students will use to communicate their mathematical thinking and reasoning.

With your help, these developing mathematicians will become independent, motivated, and confident learners.

Much of this growth will happen in their math journals, where they will communicate their thinking and reasoning, make mathematical conjectures, and generate their own strategies. Our Fourth Graders math journal will become a treasured possession that they will pull out to reference when working independently, use as a teaching tool with their math partners, and bring home to proudly share with their families.
